About
A stunning handpainted party dress from the 1950s. It is strapless with a sweetheart neckline and boning in the bodice to help keep it up. The sheer top layer is handpainted with a dark pink, white and green floral design on, then there are severl more layers of pink net underneath. There is then a silky pink lining and finally a layer of cotton callico to help create structure and volume. The top layer of fabric is gathered and rouched all the way down the dress and gives a lovely ethereal look. There is also a bow on lower left hand side. It has a side zip which is not done up in the photographs but this is only due to the small size and is actually fully working. The dress is in excellent condition with no visible marks or imperfections.
