Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that the site transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognise your browser and to provide features such as automatic login and permanent shopping carts for storage of items in your Shopping Cart between visits.

COOKIES
In accordance with the European Cookies Directive all websites serving the European Community are obliged to obtain your implied consent to use cookies whist you browse.

A cookie is a little text file which the website you visit saves on your computer. Cookies are used on many websites to provide a visitor with access to various functions. The information in the cookie can be used to monitor your activity on the web site to allow you to have a better personal experience on that website. The cookie can only be read by the website where it was created. There are two kinds of cookies:

Temporary (session) cookies
The first kind of cookie is called a session cookie. During the time you surf a site, this cookie is saved temporarily in the memory of your computer, for example to keep track of what language you have chosen. Session cookies are not stored permanently on your computer, it will disappear when you close you leave our website.

Permanent cookies
This is the other kind and is still present on your computer after you leave the website. This kind of cookie is used by the shop so it can "remember" and identify you. Without this cookie websites owned by businesses such as banks, information sites where you login and some shopping sites with interactive cart systems would likely not function properly.

The purpose of a cookie is to make sure that it is you and no one else who is making, say, a transaction with a bank, a comment on a social networking site or a purchase on a shopping site. for example, on this site if you log out before you have checked out, the products in the shopping cart are not removed. This way you can come back later and check out, or empty the shopping cart. Cookies make safer and more convenient for you as a customer.

So, in order to use all the functions on our site, your browser should be set to accept cookies from us. If you choose not to accept our cookies you can still browse the site, but it may not function as well as it would if you allowed us to use cookies and some of the functions will not work.

If you are using Internet Explorer, the acceptance of cookies is set as follows: Click on "Tools" and select "Internet Options" from that menu. Select "Privacy" and set the cookies as you prefer. You can also use "Advanced" for specialised cookie treatment.

You can remove all cookies from your computer like this: Click on "General" and select the option "Web History" then the option "Remove...". Then select "Remove cookies". You can also remove other types of information stored on your computer from this menu.

Other browsers will have similar controls. You can find their functionality in the help menus for the applications.
